Careers

We’re growing.

BNG Advisory is investing in what’s next: our team, our tools, and how we show up for clients. We’re bringing in new technology, building more connected systems, and expanding our advisory work to help clients make better decisions faster.

We’re looking for people who are strong in their craft and curious about where it can go. People who care about doing the work well. And think about how it could be done even better.

There’s a lot of experience here. We’re building on 50 years of it. If that sounds like your kind of work, we’d like to hear from you.

Staff Associate

Entry-Level | Full-Time | On-Site

Help us build what is next. We are a tax, accounting, and advisory firm with 50 years of history and new ownership with a vision for what comes next. We’re looking for a sharp, curious, entry-level accountant who’s ready to do real work from day one. If you want to build real skills, work directly with clients across dynamic industries, and help us modernize how we operate, this role is for you.

This isn’t a role where you’ll sit in a back office running the same reconciliation for three years. We’re building something, and we want someone who wants to build with us.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare and review individual and business tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120S, 1120) under direct mentorship from senior staff
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation for a diverse client base
  • Research and implement new tools, automations, and workflows that make our firm faster and smarter (think AI-assisted processes, cloud platforms, and modern reporting dashboards)
  • Help build and document standardized processes as we modernize; your fingerprints will be on how this firm operates going forward
  • Support niche industry clients in areas like media, production, and professional services with specialized accounting and tax needs

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (May 2026 graduates welcome and encouraged to apply)
  • CPA-eligible (150 credit hours) is a strong plus—we’ll support you through the exam process
  • Genuinely curious about technology and excited to learn new software, not intimidated by it
  • Comfortable working in cloud-based environments (QuickBooks Online, Google Workspace, Slack, etc.)—or eager to get there fast
  • Strong attention to detail with a desire to ask “why are we doing it this way?” and suggest a better path
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills—you’ll interact with clients early and often
  • Self-starter mindset: you don’t wait to be told what to learn next

Why This Role Is Different

Most entry-level accounting jobs slot you into a narrow lane. Here, you’ll get broad exposure across tax, advisory, and operations—and you’ll have a real voice in shaping how we use technology to deliver better results for clients.

Direct mentorship — learn from practitioners, not training videos
CPA exam support — study time, exam prep resources, and encouragement
Modern tech stack — we are investing in tools that eliminate busywork
Client-facing from day one — build relationships, not just workpapers
Industry specialization — develop expertise in high-growth verticals like media & production

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive starting salary: $55,000–$70,000 depending on qualifications and location
  • Health, dental, and vision benefits
  • CPA exam support and continuing education stipend
  • On-site with flexibility as the firm’s work environment evolves
  • Paid time off and firm holidays

How to Apply

Send your resume and a brief note about where you want to be in five years. We care less about your GPA and more about how you think.
We are an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive team.

Tax Production Specialist

Mid-Level | Full-Time | On-Site

We need someone who believes they will thrive at the intersection of accounting and tax work and technology. This is a new role at BNG—part process architect, part systems lead, part the person who makes sure the firm’s technology actually works for the people using it. If you’ve ever looked at how an accounting or tax practice runs and thought “this could be so much better,” this is the job where you get to prove it.

This isn’t a traditional IT role. You’ll need to understand the work well enough to improve how it gets done.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the firm’s tax production workflow from client data intake through final delivery
  • Evaluate, implement, and manage tax preparation software, workflow tools, and document management systems
  • Build and standardize processes for how client data enters the firm, how returns move through review, and how deliverables get out the door
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technology across the firm—onboarding new staff, troubleshooting systems, managing vendor relationships
  • Work directly with tax professionals to understand their pain points and remove friction from their daily work
  • Research and pilot emerging tools including AI-assisted tax workflows, cloud platforms, and automation

Who You Are

  • Background in accounting, tax, finance, or business operations—you don’t need to be a CPA, but you need to understand how a tax engagement works
  • 2–4 years of experience in public accounting, tax operations, or a technology-adjacent role at a professional services firm
  • Strong instinct for process improvement—you see inefficiency and it bothers you
  • Comfortable owning software implementations from evaluation through adoption
  • Experience with tax software (UltraTax, Lacerte, CCH, or similar), document management, and cloud-based workflow tools
  • You can explain technical concepts to non-technical people without condescension
  • Organized, resourceful, and comfortable being the person other people come to when something isn’t working

Why This Role Is Different

Most firms treat technology as someone else’s problem. At BNG, it’s central to where we’re headed. You won’t be maintaining legacy systems, you’ll be building the infrastructure that defines how the firm operates for the next decade.

Greenfield opportunity — build systems and processes from the ground up
Direct access to leadership — you’ll work closely with firm ownership on strategic decisions
Real authority — this role owns the tools and workflows, not just the help desk
Modern investment — budget and support to implement the right solutions
Career path flexibility — this role can grow into operations leadership, COO-track, or senior advisory

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $70,000–$95,000 depending on experience and background
  • Health, dental, and vision benefits
  • Continuing education and professional development support
  • On-site with flexibility as the firm’s work environment evolves
  • Paid time off and firm holidays

How to Apply

Send your resume and a brief note about a process or system you’ve improved and what made it work. We’re less interested in your title history and more interested in how you think about making things better.

We are an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive team.

Tax Manager

4-6 Years Experience | Full-Time | On-Site

BNG Advisory is looking for a tax manager who wants to grow into a leadership role at a firm that’s actively investing in its future. You’ll manage engagements, review returns, and work directly with clients—but you’ll also have a hand in shaping how we work as the firm modernizes its technology, processes, and client experience.

If you’re good at what you do and frustrated that nobody at your current firm seems interested in doing it better, keep reading.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and review individual and business tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120S, 1120, 1041, 709) for accuracy and compliance
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients across industries including real estate, entertainment, and professional services
  • Identify tax planning opportunities and communicate them proactively to clients and senior leadership
  • Mentor and develop junior staff, providing real-time feedback on technical work and professional growth
  • Contribute to firm-wide process improvements as we adopt new tools and modernize our workflows
  • Research complex tax issues and stay current on legislative changes affecting our client base

Who You Are

  • CPA or EA required
  • 4–6 years of accounting experience with a focus on tax
  • Strong technical foundation across individual, partnership, corporate, and trust taxation
  • Experience managing client relationships, not just preparing returns
  • Comfortable with technology and open to learning new platforms—we’re modernizing and want people who are energized by that, not resistant to it
  • Detail-oriented but able to see the bigger picture of a client’s financial situation
  • Clear communicator who can explain tax concepts to clients without jargon

Why This Role Is Different

At a larger firm, you’re a number. At BNG, you’re building something. We’re a 50-year-old firm under new ownership, investing in the people and technology that will define the next chapter. You’ll have real client responsibility, a direct line to leadership, and a clear path to senior management for the right person.

Client ownership — manage real relationships, not just workpapers
Clear advancement path — we’re building the leadership team, not just filling seats
Direct access to ownership — your ideas about how to improve things will be heard
Industry depth — develop real expertise in entertainment, real estate, and complex structures
Modern environment — we’re investing in tools and processes that respect your time

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $90,000–$120,000 depending on experience
  • Health, dental, and vision benefits
  • CPA continuing education fully supported
  • On-site with flexibility as the firm’s work environment evolves
  • Paid time off and firm holidays

Tax Senior Manager

8-10+ Years Experience | Full-Time | On-Site

You’re good at this. You’ve spent a decade building technical depth and managing complex clients. But somewhere along the way, the firm around you stopped feeling like a place where your experience is valued as much as your utilization rate. If you’re looking for a place where senior means something more than billable hours, we should talk.

BNG Advisory is a 50-year-old firm under new ownership. We’re not a startup and we’re not a roll-up. We’re building a modern, independent practice where experienced professionals can do their best work without the politics, the churn, or the pressure to sacrifice quality for volume.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead complex tax engagements across individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and estates for a sophisticated client base
  • Own client relationships and serve as the trusted advisor for a portfolio that includes real estate investors, entertainment and media companies, and multi-entity business owners
  • Drive tax planning strategy and proactively identify opportunities across your client base throughout the year
  • Mentor and develop managers and junior staff, helping build the next generation of talent at the firm
  • Contribute to firm strategy, including service line development, technology adoption, and process improvement
  • Review complex returns and research positions with an eye toward both compliance and planning

Who You Are

  • CPA or EA required
  • 8–10+ years of progressive public accounting experience with deep tax expertise
  • Proven ability to manage and grow client relationships independently
  • Experience with complex structures: multi-state, multi-entity, real estate, entertainment, partnerships, trusts
  • You’ve managed teams and you’re good at it—people want to work with you, not just for you
  • Open to modern tools and workflows—you don’t need to be a technologist, but you can’t be resistant to change
  • Tired of the grind at a large or PE-owned firm and looking for a place where quality and relationships still drive the business

Why This Role Is Different

Most senior managers at this stage are evaluating the same two options: stay and keep grinding, or leave for another version of the same thing. This is a third option. BNG is independent, stable, and investing in its future. You’ll have real authority over your clients and your team, a direct relationship with ownership, and the opportunity to shape a firm rather than just serve one.

Independence — no PE overlords, no quarterly utilization reviews, no manufactured urgency
Client quality — sophisticated clients who value expertise, not the lowest fee
Leadership voice — you’ll have a seat at the table on firm direction, not just tax decisions
Partnership potential — for the right person, this is a path to equity and long-term ownership
Sustainable pace — we believe in doing excellent work without burning people out

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $130,000–$170,000 depending on experience and book of business
  • Performance-based bonus structure
  • Health, dental, and vision benefits
  • CPA continuing education fully supported
  • On-site with flexibility as the firm’s work environment evolves
  • Paid time off and firm holidays
  • Partnership track available for the right candidate
